Traditional Cyprus Stafida

Stafida" (raisins) is a kind of dried grape. Their preparation begins with the dipping of the grapes into a special mixture, in order to remove the grape peel. Thereafter, they are exposed to the sun, where the grapes remain for about 10 days until they become raisins. They are used in various traditional sweets.
